Reporting to the Associate Director, Business Development & Facility Use, the Manager, Business Development is responsible for identifying, implementing and evaluating partnerships, sponsorships, donations and grants, and for operations of the Facility Rentals Department – all with a primary focus on building incremental revenue for the Surrey School District.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Communications, English, Marketing or Business/Finance; or an equivalent combination of post-secondary training and experience.  Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification would be an asset. 

The ability to meet multi-million dollar donor/revenue targets and bring multiple projects to fruition on time and on budget are part of the role description.  An excellent record of achievement as a strong, innovative leader/manager in a similar role is required.  Outstanding interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, and approximately 10 years’ relevant experience will be necessary to enable the individual to fulfill this role.
