As the Development Coordinator - Major Gifts, you will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate donor recognition, acknowledgement and stewardship requirements are in place using our processes and procedures. You will draft donor correspondence – thank you letters, reports as well as coordinate events; from logistics and event registration to program, briefing notes and decor. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service for donors (this position takes RSVPs, answers a wide variety of questions from donors and internal partners, and is the face in person events). This position needs to accommodate flexible hours.

As the Development Coordinator – Awards & Advancement, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a deep understanding and expert use of the University's donor and alumni database. You will develop unit analytical reports for the team and will support fundraisers with meeting prep, briefing notes and gift processing while working within our policies and procedures. You will coordinate activities for our Student Awards portfolio. In this role, you will be good at handling data & databases (a fast learner who will become a superuser). You should bring expert knowledge in excel with the ability to take large outputs from the database and manipulate the data with easily and with accuracy. The incumbent needs to be well-organized, data focused, and an analytical thinker that has good customer service skills.

Salary Range:
$4,964 - $7,152 CAD Monthly

Job Requirements

The ideal candidates will have;

  • A minimum two years’ experience supporting a major gifts team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Curiosity, creativity and willingness to learn
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office and remain calm under pressure
  • Flexibility and willingness to pitch in where needed because “other duties as assigned” is a real thing.
