Jeff Norris, President and CEO
Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation

Jeff leads Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation as the hospital undergoes a $1.49B expansion – one of the largest government-funded healthcare redevelopments ever in the province of British Columbia. Royal Columbian Hospital is a Fraser Health referral centre that provides the highest level of care to some of the province’s most seriously ill and injured patients.

Jeff’s career in non-profit organizations spans two decades and includes experience in health care and post-secondary sectors. He moved to Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation in 2014 from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), where he had worked since 2006 as Chief Advancement Officer and also served as CEO of the KPU Foundation and executive director of the KPU Alumni Association, a group he was involved in founding.

His career started with the Heart and Stroke Foundation in the early 90’s as a university student before he moved to the West Coast, working first for the Kidney Foundation and then joining St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation in 1999. Jeff spent seven years at St. Paul’s as director of annual and corporate giving and was part of the team that introduced the foundation’s marquee campaign, Lights of Hope. For much of his career, he also taught fundraising courses at the post-secondary level.

Married with two daughters, Jeff is also active in his community and regularly contributes as a volunteer and board member of various associations. In 2017, he was elected to the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) International’s Board of Directors. In 2012, he was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of Ladner for his community work.

In 2017, Jeff was honoured with an achievement award from the University of Saskatchewan Alumni Association for outstanding community leadership and philanthropy. Jeff was recognized in 2013 by Business in Vancouver with a “Forty Under 40” Award for his business accomplishment, and he is the recipient of the 2014 Giving Hearts Award for Outstanding Professional Fundraiser by the Vancouver chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
