In this lively session, Father and son duo Ray and Joshua Marshall will walk attendees through why non-profit organizations are losing their ambitious and valuable young professional staff members, and what leaders and organizations can do to develop, challenge and retain their fundraising staff. 
 

The session will explore how HR practices and workplace culture are key factors relating to retention rates and employee satisfaction. Ray and Joshua will provide organizational tools to help improve internal communication, and to assist in navigating various challenges and situations throughout the HR cycle. They’ll also share insight on how employees can contribute to their own workplace happiness.
 

This session is for senior managers who want to improve workplace culture and retain their employees long-term; and it’s also for employees at any level who are seeking greater job satisfaction and stability.

Over the past twenty years he has assisted the development operations of a variety of Canadian organizations, both as a consultant and as a senior executive. He has taught courses and led numerous workshops and seminars on business management, strategic planning and communications for the not-for-profit sector.  


Joshua Marshall, MBA CFRE 
President, MCR West Ltd.

Joshua Marshall brings 10 years of senior level fund development experience, with a concentration on relationship management and major gifts procurement.
