Kyle Tiney is the Director, Annual Giving for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. The Juno and Grammy-award winning VSO is the largest arts organization in Western Canada and third largest orchestra in Canada. Kyle strives to create meaningful relationships with the organization's 3000+ annual donors in addition to supporting the organization's $30M endowment campaign.
As a passionate youth wanting to help change the world, Kyle started his fundraising career with the Canadian Cancer Society in 2006 leading the largest Relay For Life in Canada. Prior to joining the VSO, Kyle has held leadership roles with Villa Cathay Care Home, Crisis Centre of BC, BC Wildlife Federation and Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
Kyle achieved his CFRE designation in 2012 becoming one of the youngest in the country to do so at the time. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University. Additionally, Kyle has received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013 for his contributions to the local community.
Kyle has been an active member of AFP as a mentor and had served on the Giving Hearts Awards Committee for multiple years before Co-Chairing National Philanthropy Day for 2 years. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Kids Up Front Vancouver, Scouts Canada and Scouts Canada Foundation.
