Darius Maze, CFRE

VP IDEA

Darius is a certified fundraising professional who brings his expertise in diversity, inclusion, and social justice to community engagement and development. He has worked for the last five years in the social service sector where he has led annual giving, major donor, and event programs for organizations like PeaceGeeks, Jewish Family Agency, and The Bloom Group. A committed volunteer for causes that help to remove barriers for marginalized communities, Darius supports Vancouver Pride, the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC, and Rainbow Refugee in addition to being an active member of AFP.

As a volunteer for AFP Greater Vancouver, he has served on its Communications and National Philanthropy Day committees as well as the IDEA committee which he currently chairs. Darius also serves AFP on its Canada Foundation board where he is the incoming Chair of its Inclusive Giving Fellowship program which supports 20 diverse fundraisers with mentorship and training each year. Additionally, he is the newest member of the AFP International board and a long-time member of its international IDEA and Women's Impact Initiative committees.
