Anita Nielsen is a respected advancement professional with 25+ years experience in the not for profit sector. She has a unique depth and breadth of expertise in resource development, project management, marketing & brand alignment, human resources, strategic planning and executive search.
Anita currently serves as the Executive Director, Advancement & Alumni Relations for the University of the Fraser Valley. Prior roles include Senior Search and Philanthropy Consultant with KCI Ketchum Canada; Associate Vice President, Annual & Planned Giving for Toronto General and Western Hospital Foundation; Director of Development for the National Ballet of Canada; Manager, Corporate Giving for SickKids Foundation; and Development Officer for the Royal Ontario Museum.
Committed to the betterment of her community, Anita has contributed her time and expertise to benefit a number of organizations, including AFP, United Way of the Lower Mainland, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Esprit Orchestra, Inner City Angels, the Toronto District School Board and Tourette Canada.
Anita has held the CFRE designation since 2000.
