Government Relations Committee

The Government Relations Committee has as a primary role to educate members regarding public policy issues which impact membership. The committee also has a role to make advocacy on behalf of the sector and government relations work of AFP relevant to the Chapter membership. The committee will lead engagement with government officials, especially those holding elected office in the Lower Mainland.

The Government Relations Committee has as a primary role to educate members regarding public policy issues which impact membership. The committee also has a role to make advocacy on behalf of the sector and government relations work of AFP relevant to the Chapter membership. The committee will lead engagement with government officials, especially those holding elected office in the Lower Mainland. The committee will actively monitor the issues and legislative changes at all levels of government that could both potentially impact membership and develop strategies and plans to advocate on behalf of membership, including mobilizing the membership. The committee shall also serve as a resource to government officials connecting to, and providing, relevant industry expertise.
