This position is ideal for a highly organized, adaptable and resourceful individual who will approach the role with an entrepreneurial mindset.

What We Do
The BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund is the charity of the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Association. The Burn Fund’s mission is to empower burn survivors through support and programing, and to prevent victims through education and prevention campaigns. The Burn Fund’s signature charitable events include Bright Nights in Stanley Park, an iconic Christmas tradition which has welcomed more than 200,000 visitors annually since opening in 1997, and the annual Responder Dinner, a gala fundraiser hosted at the Terminal City Club. Next year will also bring the largest burn survivor conference to Vancouver for the first time. Hosted by the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, the 2020 Blue Skies Burn Survivors Conference will welcome burn survivors, fire fighters, and the medical community.

More than 4,000 fire fighters from 53 local fire fighter associations across the province work together to raise funds and increase burn awareness on behalf of the Burn Fund. The Event Coordinator will work with representatives of these locals to support events, from charitable galas to sporting tournaments, and everything in between.

The Event Coordinator will work closely with members of the Burn Fund team, fire fighter
